Throwaway Nation is Looking for Interns

Are you an aspiring infographic artist? Maybe you’d like to shoot documentary style shorts that will change the world? Either way, you definitely want to intern with Throwaway Nation.

As an intern at Throwaway Nation, you’ll have the best of both worlds: the opportunity to work with minimal supervision while also meeting regularly with our editorial team to talk about how film and design can be used to change behavior. Oh, and did we mention that both positions are paid?

By the end of your time with us, not only will you have developed a portfolio, but you will have championed the cause of kicking the single use disposable habit, and that, my friends, is a job worth celebrating.

The graphic design intern will focus his or her efforts primarily on developing infographics for the blog and on improving it’s overall aesthetic. The current design was made by someone with approximately 1 month’s experience with the Adobe suite.

The film intern will spend his or her time gathering stock footage, shooting interviews, and editing footage from those interviews. While both positions involve mostly remote work, the film intern will spend time out on the streets talking to people with the editor on occasion.
